Background
Completion of the ASB Stadium culminated years of work by committed residents who had joined with Selwyn College authorities, staff members and the community to develop the project in the College grounds.
The project fired the imagination also of a large number of financial supporters, including local and central government, the business community, sporting groups and private donors. The generous participation in 1989 of the ASB Bank ensured the financial stability of the undertaking.
The Stadium is administered under trust deed by a Board of Trustees. Full-time professional management and administrative staff are available to assist user groups.
