FAQsDownload a printable version of this information Which schools do you pick up from?St Josephs Primary, Kohimarama Primary, Orakei Primary, St Thomas Primary Can my child still attend your afterschool club, even though they are not from the school you pickup from?Yes, some children travel to our programme via other transport. e.g. some children are dropped off by parents or their school bus. Examples of children that attend using their own transport are: St Kentigerns, Remuera Intermediate and Selwyn College What are our opening and closing hours?We open at 3:00pm and close 6:00pm daily, during normal school days. What are your staff ratios?We are 1:10 with a minimum of 2 staff on site at anyone time. We have 3-4 staff on site daily. What is the cost per child per day?The cost per child which includes a pickup cost is $16 per day (these are for the following schools – St Josephs, Kohimarama & Orakei Primary) The cost per child without pickup is $14 per day (These are from the following schools – St Thomas, St Kent’s, Remuera Intermediate and Selwyn) There is a discounted family rate of $1 per child Do you provide afternoon tea?Yes we do provide afternoon tea. We offer a wide variety of snacks. Do you supervise homework?Yes, we provide time for homework. We provide supervision during homework time but we won’t complete it for them. Some parents prefer their child to do homework at home. Where are you located?We are located in the grounds of Selwyn College, and are found in the ASB Stadium building near the back car park. Our physical address is 237 Kohimarama Road, Kohimarama, Auckland 1071 What planned activities do you provide?We have a wide range of activities. This can be a compilation of the following:
What happens if I am late picking up my child?We are open until 6:00pm daily. Our late pickup policy is $20 per every 15minutes
Your child will not be left alone during this period. BUT, if your child is not picked up by 6:30pm and we cannot get in touch with your noted emergency contacts, the child will be taken to the local police station. Do you provide OSCAR Subsidy?Yes we do provide OSCAR subsidies. Please visit your nearest Work and Income Service Centre or ring 0800 559 009. You must meet certain criteria and provide all the valid information to be eligible. My child participates in one of the following activities during the term: Aikido, Judo, Miniball and Selwyn community education. Can they leave afterschool care to attend this class?Yes, they can leave afterschool care & attend these classes, but a letter of permission must be provided. The letter must provide exact details of time and dates of the classes. |
